2C Perma Coat
2C Perma Coat (two-component polysiloxane epoxy single layer processing) is a transparent two- component coating based on nanotechnology. Objects treated with 2C Perma Coat are easy to clean and exceptionally retain a long-lasting gloss and protection against influences by UV and weathering.
2C Perma coat seals in the first treatment and is used for the coating of surfaces, which over the years been subject to contamination and/or discoloration. It contains a high concentration of Nano-particles for optimal protection. Dirt no more adheres to the surface and is easily removed with water.
Advantages
- Long-term protection against weathering. (10 years)
- Dirt does not adhere to the substrate is easily removed with water.
- Less maintenance and cleaning.
- Retaining gloss.
- Easy application.
Applications
- Aluminum siding.
- Powder
- Coated surfaces.
- Steel substrates.
- Trespa cladding.
Key features
- Treated parts are very well protected against the adhesion of dirt.
- UV filter prevents discoloration.
- Discolored components regain their original color.
- Product is Silicon free.
- The applied Nano coating provides an exceptionally long-lasting protection against contamination. Corrosion category C2 high according to ISO 12944-6.
To remove any deposit and/or grease, we recommend the following steps:
Cleaning procedure
Shake Cleaner well before use (Product can be diluted depending on the pollution with a 1:3 ratio with water). Apply using a spray. Clean with a soft cloth, sponge or brush. If necessary, rinse with water and dry large areas with a wiper.
Protection
After drying, apply the 2C Perma Coat preferably with a XVLP or HVLP spray and a layer thickness of about 20 to 25 mu.
Instructions for use
Mixing ratio: Base to hardening agent ratio = 3:1 (Example 30 parts of base agent and 10 parts hardener). Combine the base component + hardener and mix well. Leave to set for about 20 minutes.
Apply with a brush, roller or spray and maximum 5% thinning with butanol. The temperature of the mixture of the base component and hardener should preferably be above 15°C, dilution at lower temperatures will need to be added in order to obtain the proper viscosity. Too much dilution will increase the sagging risk and slows down the curing. Dilution should be added after the mixing of the components.
Processing Time
Induction time: Approx. 20 min
Processing time at 20°C: 5 hours
Dust dry at 15°C - 18°C: 90 min
Fully dry: 6 Hours
Full cure: 48 Hours
Brush / Paint Roller
Recommended: Roller polyether foam
HVLP Spray Equipment
Thinner: 0-5 vol.% Butanol
Spray Gun: Level 5
Air Volume: 50 to 70%
Cleaning tools: Butanol
Application Conditions
During the application of the 2C Perma Coat the humidity may not exceed 85% and the temperature of the treated surface should be at least 3°C above the dew point.
Color and Gloss
Transparent, dries colorless, visible.
Packaging
1 liter bottle, 5 liter and 10 liter jerry can.
Coverage
Theoretical coverage yields 60-90 m2. The specified quantity is a target value. Depending on the nature of the substrate and process it may differ. Exact values for each project can be determined by painting test areas.
